Pre-Wedding Meet up in Edinburgh

Its been a busy few weeks with my first Wedding of the season at the end of March – I can’t wait to hand the edited photos onto the bride & groom when they return from their honeymoon in a couple of weeks – so watch out soon for some more images from their Wedding.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting Alex & Esme, who are getting married in October this year. I’m ever so excited about their Wedding – when we were organising the trip they mentioned the name of the church where they are to be wed. I have to confess, I hadn’t heard of it before – but once visited, its one of those places that you will never forget – Seton Collegiate Church. an amazing example of a 15th century medieval church – so well preserved and maintained by Historic Scotland.  It was magical the way the sun shon through the windows, leaving soft colourful patterns over the ancient stone floor – just beautiful!

We took the chance to have a little wonder about the grounds of the church and take in the beautiful  scenery. Including the very stately Seton Castle, pictured here, below.

We made a visit to Carlton Hill too – such beautiful view over the cityscape.

We ere so lucky to have amazing sunny, spring weather – I love seeing all those little beams of sun making their way into photos! Then we headed off to the final destination – The Kitchin, in Leith. I really liked the resturaunt – such nice decor, and very friendly staff. We are planning to include a few shots of some of the amazing food that will be served on their Wedding Day.

How on earth are they going to pick the photos they want for their final set/album if these are just the pre-wedding photos? Love them all. Love the way you set them out within the blog. Fave photo of this lot (and excuse the non-technical jargon my my part), the black & white blurry (sorry, couldn’t think of another way to say it!) one of the couple at the end. Brilliant.

Hahaa – thanks Anne! Well, having the chance to work a little bit with the couple before their actual Wedding Day is really really helpful for everyone involved – and good fun as you can see! A little pre-wedding taster can’t go a miss, don’t you think!
