Over the course of this year, I’ve been really focused on providing amazing wedding photos for all of my couples. I’ve shot the most amount of weddings, ever .. since launching my business, back in 2010. I enjoy working hard and keeping busy .. I can’t imagine life any other way if I’m honest!
I am aware though, that its really important to keep some balance. I think a creative mind needs an outlet to play and explore, which is why I leapt at the chance to team up with some fellow Fife based wedding suppliers. If you don’t know of them already .. let me introduce you ~
The Styled Shoot:
A few weeks ago, I headed over to Anstruther, to the most adorable little spot where Blue Poppy Florist is based. We had planned the shoot to be in the soft fading autumnal light. With that in mind, I started by shooting a few frames with my analogue camera (geek chat: Mamiya 7 with an 80mm lens). Using ISO 400 film in low light, in a wee cow shed .. was a little risky as it was pushing the limits of the film…. we had aimed for a Dutch Masters effect, and all in all I am really pleased with the end result!
I shot the rest of the images with my Nikon, D750 .. as the light had dropped so much ! I love what Cathy & Loren had done with the space, don’t you? Transforming a little old cow shed, into an intimate. romantic nook. I could imagine, cosying up around a wee fire, wrapped in a blanket relaxing. Sigh, thats what autumns are made for!
