Have you every dreamt about getting married abroad? Thats exactly what Louise & Kevin not only dreamt about, but made it happen! It was no mean feat to pull off either, with the distances involved! Louise and Kevin live 250 miles north of mainland Scotland, in Shetland.. It was the most bizarre thing, being all the way in France, seeing some folk that I’d met in Shetland last year! I’m hoping to get some time to share a bit about my journey and time in France, which I managed to do as environmentally as possible, getting the train from Ladybank in Fife, down to Milton Keynes where my parents live, then to Lille (overnight) and all the way through France, to Bordeaux.. hiring a car there and to a wee gite (is that how you spell it?).
It had been quite a while since I had last been to France, it really was enchanting. I can see why Louise & Kevin chose the Dordogne as a place to get married. Reading about the history of the Chateaux, its possible that the earliest part of the place was built in 1597 .. incredible! It was absolutely terrific meeting so many wonderful people, a great team on the day. Sharing in all the love and emotion. It truly was a day to remember.
