I had a rare weekend off in August, so we jumped at the chance to go along to the Medieval Fayre in Perth. I seized the opportunity to shoot the whole trip on film. I really really love seeing peoples reactions to the camera, and all the wonderful conversations you end up having when you are out shooting with it!
For the camera geeks, I shot on Ilford HP5 .. on my old Rolleiflex (2.8D). Purely because I love shooting film, and I thought the historical costumes would look pretty darn fantastic captured on film .. and I am blinking pleased with the results even if I do say so myself!
A BIG thank you to everyone involved in the day. My kids really enjoyed it, and there was such a lovely atmosphere through out the day. I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone that allowed me to take their portraits. I hope you like them x
Some of the street performers / people I spoke to on the day who need a special shout out to : (there were so many fantastic people there, I didn’t manage to get a note of all their names, feel free to message me and let me know so I can mention you on this blog post!).
