Pre-Wedding Meet up – St Andrews

RHONA & PIERRE

Four days before THE Wedding of the year…I found myself in St Andrews – one of my most favourite places ever. Rhona, Pierre and I met outside St Salvators Chapel to start our ‘Pre-Wedding’ meet up. Even though I went to school in St Andrews and was married there myself, I had never actually been into St Salvators Chapel – it was breath taking. It was great seeing it with Rhona & Peirre, as they were about to talk about their Wedding in more detail, and the amount of guests that they are inviting.

Next it was a trip up to Kinkell Byre – it was hard to contain myself seeing this venue! Its situated on the coast – an old converted Barn with big open views out over the fields with the Fairmount Hotel off in the distance, and sea views to the front.  To the back of Kinkell Byre, there is the most beautiful wall garden. When we visited, the little apple trees had just burst into blossom, the vegtable patch had the signs of being newly planted, and over the wee stone dyke, a couple of cattle – one being an adorable little Heelund Coo (Highland Cow) ! We also meet up with the man of the moment, Sandy, who owns the Byre – he was off on his quad bike later that day to do a practice shoot on St Andrews beach – where they were filming a reconstruction of a Chariots of Fire scene (see the pics below!).

After we head a good look about the venue we headed off down to the beach ourselves for a wee picnic and some photos in the sand dunes. Really looking forward to Rhona & Pierrie’s Wedding at the end of July.
