The Hub, Edinburgh ~ Lorna & Rod

I first met Lorna and Rod, a couple of years ago at their friends wedding that I was shooting, at Kinkell Byre (you can see that wedding HERE!)  We had a right giggle, back then .. and I think thats one of the reasons why the lovely Lorna & Rod were keen to chat with me, and book me as their wedding photographer. I absolutely LOVED being a part of their day. From the deeply beautiful, emotional moments, to the side aching laughter .. You guys know how to wedding! 😀

The day started with me joining Lorna at The Edinburgh Grand. My oh my .. WHAT A PLACE! It is BEAUTIFUL! I loved the huge central hallway, with views all the way from the top to the bottom of the building. – what a place to get a shot of Lorna’s gown! From there it was a short cab ride across town to The Hub. It is such a wonderful building. From the outside, its spires stand so tall, that it can be seen from far. And the inside, is SO colourful! Blue walls, red walls with little miniature statues representing different elements of the Arts (a nod to the Edinburgh Festival, as the building is infact the ‘Home of the Edinburgh International Festival’). How wonderful is that!

We took the chance stroll into Victoria Street for a few photos of Lorna & Rod together. Not only that, but we also had time to nip into a pub, for a quick drink! The folk in there face the newly weds a lovely welcome!

We managed to make it up to Edinburgh Castle, not once BUT TWICE – full on kudos to them both for fulfilling the excited requests from this mad photographer … (I do get terribly excited when I see EPIC light happening, and I knew I could get some lovely golden hour photos from the vista at the Castle!).

Lots & Lots of love to you both, Lorna and Rod. I’m so excited for what lies ahead for you. For all three of you! 😀
2019 is YOUR year!! :*  xxx
