I gleefully hopped into my car (after giving all the family a big squeezy cuddle and kisses goodbye) and headed off down to Sunderland. Skip ahead four hours, and a quick freshen up in the B&B …. and I toddled off down the road to meet up with Steve & Jen at the local Scout HQ, for a pre-wedding camp fire, and wee gathering of the most blooming fantastic friends! With so much laughter, little owls hooting from the trees that stood luming over us… and fish and chips that had been sourced from somewhere very far away, it was such a nice way to spend the evening before a wedding.
Jen & I chatted about the wedding day, and of course photos around her family home. The place where they had all grown up… photos were especially important as, Jen’s parents are planning to move. I utterly LOVE this house…it was utterly beautiful. So many things to see, it almost warrants a blog post of its own! Hand painted stain glass windows, and original servant bells… sigh .. just love it!
I was so so so honoured to have the wonderful Jaye from Tux & Tails photography there too – loved getting the chance to shoot with Jaye, thank you xx
Now… Jennifer’s rather lovely dress – did you spot that already? Well, she has a rather talented Mum, who owns Special Occasions in Sunderland. Lynn not only made Jen’s dress, but also the page boys, flower girls, and bridesmaids dresses too – AND her own and Jen’s sisters outfit too!
wishing you much love and laughter Jen & Steve xxxxx
