After dropping the kids off at school, I went for a wee walk along the riverside, the light was so beautiful, the air crisp with a frosty crunch under foot. I’ve walked that route so many times, often stopping to take photos of a beautiful boat called ‘The Tern’ – an old wooden boat – that has been so well loved and cared for over the years. Today I met the owner, we chatted about some of the adventures he had had, rowing off to shingley beaches, to make a little campfire to cook a little food to eat, before heading back on his return journey – how blooming lovely does that sound?? This morning he set off for a row around Mugdrum Island to get a bit of exercise … my goodness, I LOVE the idea of that so much! Living here in Newburgh, and making the most of everything around you, appreciating all of that – well, thats what this mornings walk did for me. I invariably will find someone to chat to for a bit of company – its a remarkably solitary job at times, being a self employed photographer. I wouldn’t change it for the world. Its nice to get the chance to have some time to chat, think, see, listen … thats what this walk did for me, and I thought I’d share it all with you 🙂 xx
Beautiful work Zöe, gorgeous as always. I love seeing all the things you see! xx
